Star gazing

Tekapo is renowned for its clear night skies and lack of light pollution, so much so that the university's astronomy department is located on the top of Mount John, just above the town. The Church of the Good Shepherd in Tekapo. The window is behind the altar and gives the congregation a magnificent view of the lake.
